Hi Paul,

I teach in a school for students who have either dropped out or been kicked out of a 'regular school'. I have found that when it comes to engagement one of the keys is to try and encourage the students to have learning goals. I have found that doing away with performance goals, my students are performing better and are more engaged. I have found that when work becomes fun, they engage, and when fun becomes work, they disengage.

Vonetta,

Teachers make a difference and teachers like you make a positive difference. Empowering students to remove the roadblocks to their learning makes a daily difference in how they experience school and develop as human beings.

If we could help students embrace confusion as they did when they were toddlers, what a difference that would make in their lives and learning. Imagine the potential that would explode in them. That's why it's worth pouring out all we have from the time we arrive until the time we leave.

Thanks for joining Top 20 Training in this effort.

I laughed when I first started to read the article. I know that students feel stupid in class; I still feel stupid in class at times and I am completing a second master's degree. I really want to help my students break through their apathy and lack of attention to education. As their teacher, I pour out all I have from the time I arrive until the time I leave. Making a positive difference in the lives of young people is my ministry. It is what I am supposed to do. This program will advance my ability to help young people. I would be so grateful to learn more about training for stupid.

Respectfully.
